Embarcadero is stopping selling Delphi 2006 Version. If you still using Delphi 2006 as Main Development Tool it is now time to update to the new Version. If you need some Version cause you Main development is this version and you nee some more licenses it is time to catch quickly the last boxes, or better update your project to Delphi 2009.

Wasn’t D2006 one of the crapiest Delphi versions (together with D8 & D2005)? Honestly I will not miss it when it is not available anymore.
Levend.
Actually the worst Delphi version supporting Win32 was Delphi 2005.
With Delphi 2006, they started to improve quality.
That is not only my personal experience, others share the same: see for instance http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CodeGear_Delphi

Would this imply that there will be a new version of Turbo Delphi?
Why should I upgrade just because Embi isn’t selling D2006 anymore?
Do you dump your car and buy a new one the moment your current model isn’t being sold anymore?
Are you aware that many people still use D7?
This shouldn’t be really a problem as D2007 is binary compatible, so those who need an older version (unicode problems etc.) can also switch to D2007.
I’m still using D2006 as my main tool and I do have D2009 installed but so far could not use it because if missing support of some third party component vendors.
This has fortunately changed recently, so I will go for D2009 in the next days or weeks ;.)
Not sold mean no more update? then too bad for me…, and hey where .NET CF compiler for D2007? i only see a preview compiler and IDE helper for BDS 2006…
the cf compiler was not from (borland) codegear it was produced from Jeremy North and some helper files from Jeroen Pluimers.
