My life in the Developers World

CEO Tod Nielsen (Borland) leaving company

Tod Nielsen CEO from Borland is leaving the Company. He is changing now to VMWare as a Chief Operating Officer (COO). He was before Borland 12 Years by Microsoft, three years by BEA and a short time by orale.

he was also the person who sells the Developer Group to Embarcadero.

Can somebody tell me how many employees now by Borland? 🙂

regards daniel

  1. I guess Borland try to become a virtual company: Just a Website, no physical location, no employees. Not sure though about virtual customers 🙂

  2. Olaf, you certainly mean that Borland will make a transition from ALM to VCM – Virtual Company Management? 😉

In some other blogs I read negative comments about Tod. But honestly, I am not sure if Tod was bad for Borland or if Borland was bad for Tod… we all know that Borland’s decline started in the days when Dale was CEO.

At least all the (Ex-)Borland products and people found a safe haven at Embarcadero.

    Cheers,
    Levend.

  3. Didn’t the decline started with the Inprise fiasco? Everything after that was only managing the remains.
